Banned list update - Season MSH

Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy will be unbanned.

Najeela, the Blade-Blossom will be unbanned.

High tide will be unbanned.

The main reason Kinnan was banned in EDHR is his excessively strong explosive power. When paired with artifacts or mana dorks, he can rapidly ramp into high-cost threats.

However, as the current metagame features extremely strong early interaction and tempo disruption, Kinnan’s mana-source-dependent combo strategy may have become much easier to target and disrupt. Unbanning him would give multicolored decks significantly more competitive tools to fight against the top-tier meta.

Najeela is the quintessential representative of explosive aggro and infinite combat steps. In the 25-life EDHR environment, she poses an enormous threat.

The reason for her potential unbanning is likely due to the overall increase in creature interaction across the format, along with the removal of several key pieces from the EDH banlist that previously enabled consistent infinite combat loops. Easing this restriction would help increase the diversity of aggressive strategies.

High Tide is the core of mono-blue Storm and big-spell strategies. The reason for its potential unbanning likely stems from the current EDHR banlist having already removed key tutoring card [[Mystical Tutor]].

Without stable combo pieces available, High Tide’s return to the format would function more as a pure mana acceleration tool, or provide control decks with stronger resources to fight back in a single turn, rather than serving as an absolute win condition.
