Shorikai, Genesis Engine is unbanned.

The One Ring is unbanned.

While Shorikai is a powerful resource engine, it’s no longer the 'uninteractive' threat it once was, especially with the format speeding up and efficient artifact removal becoming so common. Unbanning it wouldn't ruin the meta; instead, it would give a much-needed boost to struggling pure control decks and help balance format diversity.

In a pure 25-life environment, The One Ring transitions from an oppressive staple into a high-risk, high-reward tactical choice. It doesn't like the regular format which you can contain 4 copies in your deck to reset the clock. Against the hyper-aggressive meta of EDHR nowadays, this self-inflicted damage often does the opponent's job for them. Its steep life cost and vulnerability to efficient removal prevent it from being brainlessly slotted into every deck. Instead, it serves as a crucial catch-up mechanism for non-Blue/Black decks, enriching the strategic depth and diversity of the format.
